In these images, this me editing the special effects for each image that appears. For each image I add at least two or three special effects to make it look professional, a fade in or fade out, a animation for the image to move and colour change.
This makes my film smooth and easy to watch, I didn't want to make something that was rough and unwatchable.
In this image, its the time line, I picked out a lot of images to make sure that they suit of what the couple is saying, for example, if my grandmother is talking about her early days then I would show a picture of her younger self to give a better picture to the audience. However, there isn't any footage of my grandparents talking as it was unclear and unusable so I separated the audio from the video . But, using images along with the audio, it turns into an almost of a story you could either listen or watch. As you can see, the pink boxes are the images and blue long box is the audio, I wanted to make my work space clear and easy to work with as with crowds of clips and audio always gets me overwhelmed how much there is on screen, so instead, I used little special effects on image to make the timeline clearer.

In this image, I am editing the titles of the documentary. I wanted to make it a simple, easy to look at title. I didn't want anything flashy nor anything eye popping, my aim here was to give the affect that this is professional work and I am aiming to give the affect that this personal and perhaps maybe a little bit serious with a touch of humour. I was going to add music but I couldn't find anything that suited the titles unfortunately, I was going to aim for a simple piano tune, something drive the documentary going but without sound, I guess you could say it was then calm and easy to watch.
